An important part of New York's cultural landscape is the Museum of Modern Art, or MoMA. The collection includes masterpieces by Monet, Van Gogh, Matisse, and Picasso, as well as up to 150,000 sculptures, prints, photographs, furniture pieces, installation pieces, and other contemporary works of art.
The Modern Art Museum has six levels upstairs and two basement floors that are theatres. Painting, printing, photography, drawing, architecture and design, installation art, sculpture, and special exhibits approximately correspond to the divisions of the shows. At the information desk in the middle of the lobby, you may get a Chinese-language map of the area.
